RESPONSIBILITIES:

FXDD seeks an engineer to join the team responsible for supporting and maintaining the FXDD Trading Systems. This is a hands-on role and will require supporting a 24x5 high availability Production Environment. Responsibilities will include day to day management of the FXDD System, system monitoring, security, network and server infrastructure, disaster recovery, system tuning, troubleshooting and deployment of system updates.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Networking experience
  • Common Linux administration skills
  • Scripting
  • bash, Perl, Python, Jython
  • Experience with writing complex SQL queries
  • Solid background in software development
  • Experience in J2EE applications support, application servers (Tomcat, Weblogic, etc)
  • Sound decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Experience in supporting a 24x7 production environment
  • Team/results oriented, flexible, proactive, self-starter able to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

HIGHLY DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of FOREX market
  • Basic Oracle DBA skills
  • PL/SQL experience
  • Knowledge of Java and C++
