Where else can I download the FXDD Trader software?

To download the FXDD Trader software, please visit our demo sign-up page. Upon completion of the demo sign-up form, a prompt to download and install the FXDD Trader Platform will appear.

How do I organize and save a chart layout on FXDD Trader?

Please refer to the FXDD Trader User’s Guide. Pages 28-30 will help with charting packages and features for this platform.

How do I install the FXDD Trader Platform?

Using your mouse, click on “Run” and install the software from the website, or save the file to your computer, find the setup file and double click the icon to start the installation. After the setup completes, an FXDD Trader icon will appear on the your desktop.

How do I run the FXDD Trader Platform?

The user can find the icon by using the mouse and clicking on “Start”, “Programs”, “FXDD” or double click the FXDD Trader icon located on the desktop.

How do I get around firewall protection?

Create an exception in your anti-virus firewall for the FXDD Trader application and open up ports 3871 and 3872

Does the FXDD Trading platform run on a Macintosh?

The application will run on a Macintosh after you install and run Virtual PC. FXDD cannot guarantee the stability or reliability of such a set up. Try this at your own risk and you will be more than welcome to share your experience with us.

How do I setup FXDD Trader through a proxy?

At the login pop-up, Click “Options” and enter the host name of the proxy in the text field.

Why can I not log into my demo FXDD Trader account?

Please check the following before contacting customer support:

Is the Internet working correctly?

Please check to see if all the cables are plugged in and if the network card is working properly by accessing a webpage.

Registered for a demo account? See: “How to register for a demo account?”

Within the login box, please select under “Host” “Demo” in the drop-down box.

Is the caps lock on or off? Account ID and password are case sensitive.

Double check to make sure FXDD Trader 3.7.5 is installed? The version number will appear on the top left corner.

Why can I not access the charts, pending orders, open positions, or other options that are available on this platform?

Occasionally, on weekends FXDD will run maintenance on the system, resulting in a reboot of the servers; hence some data or features may be temporarily unavailable. Neither live nor demo trading are available on the weekends.

Is FXDD Trader JAVA based?

Yes, you must have the JAVA (JRE) installed on your computer in order to run FXDD Trader. The automated installer usually checks your system and installs the necessary components.

What is used for trading in FXDD Trader 3.7.5?

Upon opening a ticket (Spot Order Ticket), lot size is multiplied by 10K (mini lot) or 100K (standard lot).

How do I obtain information on my account and daily transactions on the FXDD Trader?

The steps are as follows:

Select ACCOUNT (top of screen)

Next select REPORTS.

This function allows for the opportunity to examine multiple reports for any specific time period.

This report is printable for your convenience.

How do I change my password on the FXDD Trader 3.7.5?

The steps are as follows:

On the top Menu bar, select OPTIONS.

Then, select CHANGE PASSWORD.

Input the old password in the “Old Password” text field.

Input the new password in: “New Password” text field.

Re-type the new password in: “Confirm New Password” text field.

When logging into the platform again, the new password is required. The old password is no longer valid.

What do the different colors indicate on the prices?

Color legend is as follows:

Red: Current price is lower than previous quote.

Blue: Current price is the same as previous quote.

Green: Current price is higher than previous quote.

Grey: Price and trading is suspended

How do I select the Language used?

The steps are as follows:

On the top Menu bar, select“Options”

Select User “Settings”

Select the “Miscellaneous” tab

Click on the down arrows next to “Current Language” and select language.

(Note: Changes will be effective on restart of application)

Does FXDD offer an API?

Yes. FXDD does offer various APIs, depending on client needs.. Certain terms and conditions apply. Please contact our Support Department for more information.

When I open the program, the program automatically logs me in. Can I secure the program so that I have to use a password?

Yes. The steps to enable password verification are as follows: :

On the menu bar go to TOOLS > OPTIONS.

Click the box next to - “Keep personal settings and data at startup.”

The check mark will disappear.

Each time the platform is restarted the password will be required. password. Be sure to record your password before choosing this option.
